Support Worker (Weymouth, Dorset)
I am M, a 39 year old young woman with autism and bi-polar. I am recruiting an experienced staff team in the Weymouth area to help me live a balanced and interesting life. I enjoy walking, going out, horse riding, singing and music, going out in the car, nice food and spending time with family.
I live in my own house and have an experienced staff team who share all aspects of my life with me. I need staff who are naturally calm, patient, good at problem solving in a crisis, find creative ways to help me communicate and have control over decisions in my life. I want staff who are fun, can find ways to involve me in activities for very short periods of time and can help me managing my home as well as review, identify and understand why I do things in order to inform my support. I need staff who are able to support me with personal care. I am caring, kind, determined, at times I struggle to make sense of the world so need people I can trust around me who will help me feel safe. You will need strong communication skills to be able to find ways to help me communicate and clear communication skills to engage with me.
My staff team will be employed and managed by iDirect. You will receive extensive training not only in providing good support but also in areas that help with your personal development. You will have regular supervision and appraisals and have support from my team leader and a manager. You will be paid from £8.00 upwards depending on experience and £47.50 for natural nights. Full time or Part time hours will be considered as will weekend only working.
